The structure of GYDGA optical cable is as follows: the optical fiber ribbon is placed in a skeleton groove made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and the center of the skeleton is a single steel wire or multiple strands of twisted steel wires. A layer of water-blocking tape is wrapped around the outside of the skeleton, and a double-sided plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) is longitudinally wrapped and then a polyethylene (PE) sheath is extruded. A tear cord is placed between the aluminum tape and the water-blocking tape to facilitate the stripping of the sheath.
