GJFZY53-FR fire-resistant optical cable is a 250µm optical fiber sheathed in a loose tube made of high modulus material, which is filled with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a non-metallic reinforcement core (FRP). For optical cables with certain core counts, a layer of polyethylene (PE) needs to be extruded on the outside of the non-metallic reinforcement core. The loose tube (and filling rope) are twisted around the central reinforcement core to form a compact and round cable core, which is then longitudinally wrapped and extruded with a flame-retardant inner sheath. The double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped and then extruded into a flame-retardant outer sheath to form the cable.
